About us

Elio Zammuto is an Economic consultant with a great interest for financial markets and quantitative analysis. He is an expert in Intermarket analysis and sector investing strategies with more than 10 years’ experience in research and modelling. For the 10 years he has also been working as an energy Economist.

For many years his primary interest has been modelling financial markets with quantitative techniques. In 2003 he started his interest in financial markets trading with technical analysis. Not happy with such methodology, he decided to invest in research and modelling. However, he still believes and he is convinced that a technical approach with the use of quantitative techniques can outperform the market and limit the downside risk in the short and long-term.

In summer 2005 Elio developed most of the sector investing analysis published in Martin J. Pring’s [1] book “The Investor’s Guide to Active Asset Allocation: Using Technical Analysis and ETFs to Trade the Markets”, McGraw-Hill 2006. Elio realised that Intermarket analysis is an area with little published research and he decided to develop his own research in Intermarket analysis, Business Cycles and sector rotation investing strategies.

He has been doing research and modelling financial markets since 2004 and today his primary skill is the ability to provide profitable investing and trading strategies which outperform the market and limit the downside risk. His unique selling point is providing evidence, numbers and statistics in order to prove that his methodology is a winning one.

Before becoming an Economist, Elio worked in the media industry covering news and stories and travelling around the world for more than twelve years. He
then gained a Bachelor Degree in Economics with First Class Honours from the University of Surrey (Guildford, UK), he gained a CFTe I in technical analysis with the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA) in 2004, and a certificate in Investment Management and FSA Financial Regulation with The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in 2008.
